Home Hotel Daan – A Place Like Home

From the hotels I’ve visited in Taiwan, Home Hotel Daan
stands out since it made me feel at home.
The entire hotel gave off a cozy vibe which made me miss my family even more
during my 5-day tour in Taiwan. Needless to say, I truly enjoyed my stay in
Home Hotel.

These are my favorite souvenirs of the hotel - a set of mugs. Aren't the designs lovely? Photo courtesy of Home Hotel Daan |

'Home is a shelter from the storm' is one of the touching phrases on the wall designed by Blanq. |
‘No place like home,’
‘Home is where your heart is,’ ‘Welcome home’ – these phrases on the
wall and on the small items within the hotel welcome you as you enter the lobby
of Home Hotel Daan. Its interior design incorporates natural elements; the
walls, floors, and furniture are made of wood and come in earth colors. I had a
feeling of being one with nature as I looked around the homey place. As a
matter of fact, Home Hotel Daan promotes the Taiwanese indigenous culture and
natural style.

'Welcome home' is another wall art you'll see at the elevator lobby on the ground floor. |

But what makes Home Hotel Daan distinct from other
accommodations is its intimate atmosphere that makes you feel warm and relaxed.
The paintings, ornaments, and even the key cards remind you of home. The dining
area and lobby are not overwhelmingly large, and the suites give the guests
enough space for comfort.

Internationally, Home Hotel Daan is categorized as a 3.5-star
hotel and locally, it has a 4-star rating. It is strategically located in the
vicinity of the MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station. There are 2 Sogo shopping malls,
which are popular in Taiwan, nearby. A total of 137 rooms, along with a bar and
a shop, are available to its guests.

Home Hotel Daan takes pride in its inclusion in the 2018
and 2019 Michelin Guide for hotels in Taipei. It is also worth mentioning that
another Home Hotel is located in Xinyi, Taipei.
